I posted this in another forum already, so I am just gonna do the old "copy & paste dance":

Hello there!
I would like to introduce everyone to a project some friends and I have been working on since early 2014.

It is called A Fantastic Saga and is a Fantasy adaptation for the Saga ruleset.

Saga is one of the best games I ever played and I introduced a lot of people to Saga over the last few years but because of the historical context it did not stick with everyone and I was asked a lot about a fantasy version.
So I decided to do something about that and started working on this project... I wanted to capture the spirit of the "good old days"of fantasy wargaming ( ;) ) and create rules that make it possible for people to use pretty much any fantasy miniature for their games...

And obviously I wanted an alternative to Warhammer... I wanted to use my armies that just kept getting dustier over the years.

We put everything in a PDF-file. The basic rules and the first four factions. (Elves, Dwarves, Barbarians/Chaos, Undead)
We are working on even more factions, these will be Orcs, Dark Elves, Beastmen and Goblins...
And we are also thinking about supplements like a "bestiary" where we introduce more creatures (and monstrous mounts for the warlords) and maybe a PDF with campaign rules, maps and other ressources ...

To make our material easily accessible we made a website. The site is still rough and has been online for only a couple of hours at this point. So its very fresh, but it works, you can get the PDF there and thats what counts :D
(it will be on this website that you find all future material as well)

I really hope that you guys enjoy our creation and become a part of this and spread the word!
I wish a lot of fun!

So long!

Hey there!

Glad you like it, guys.

It has been a few weeks now since we "published" AFS and our rules have been downloaded about a thousand times. And people seem to really like them.
In my favorite (German) forum there are people currently starting AFS projects and building warbands for the system.
Really awesome to see that.

We noticed a couple of mistakes though that somehow made it into the PDF (somehow it seems you can do nothing about that :D we read that thing dozens of times and still missed them...god knows how...)

-Undead Battleboard. "The Horde" can be used with Ghouls, Zombies & Skeletons.
-Wild Tribes Battleboard. "Favored By The Gods" obviously cannot be used by the Chieftain.
-Undead Faction Rules: Skeletons with bows have an armour of 3 in melee.
-Elves Battleboard. The Activation Pool can only be used with a [6].

The revised version of the PDF will be online next week. Also a Spanish and German version of our rules.
Furthermore, I am working on some fun scenarios... (one where the sound of battle wakes a monstrous beast from its slumber and makes it appear on the field and attack the warbands :D )
And Orcs, Dark Elves and Goblins are currently in the testing phase. I hope to have the Orcs online by the end of this month, and the other two by the end of October.
Then it will be time to work on the "Beastmen" and the first of our human factions.

So long! :P

It is time! Treacherous gods and immortal heroes enter our stage with the Archaeans!

A treat for anyone who loves the ancient Greek mythology as much as I do!

We hit the ground running... and crouching, and crawling...

From the chasms below the stench of death rises...
Those who enter, never return...

The Troglodytes are here!

Hey, guys!

I havent been to this board for a while... since then a lot has happened.

1.
We have some new factions for AFS!
The Kobaloi (basically goblins) and The Empire!
As usual, both can be found at our website: www.a-fantastic-saga.com
That gives us a total of TEN factions now! Whooohooo!!!

2.
I have been working on a new mod for Saga!
It will be revealed very soon.

3.
We have a group on Facebook now. There is a lot of cool stuff to see!
Everybody is welcome to join the group!

4.
Matthias, our "layout guy" has started a blog where he writes about AFS:
