We are still working out the details, but we will definitely have some way for fans to participate.

We are looking for a Mid-East and/or Asia region Group Captain -- anyone interested?

@Web & @Evil- as I understand it, anyone can (and is encouraged!) to participate. I'm sure Jon will start adding unofficial groups over the next few weeks. We'll spam twitter with the hashtag #WWPD4Vets and hopefully do some real good!

As a 100% disabled vet... you have my thanks for putting on this event to help those who have sacrificed so much!

Hopefully, a group down in SoCal area will hold an event.

You guys should get an ad in the local newspaper or something as well, I bet they would be thrilled by the idea and the geeky approach (and it would serve to promote both the cause, the WWPD network and the wargaming community ).

I purchased an extra train tank-hunter cars box thinking they were 1 to a box. Instead of trying to return them, or honorably committing seppuku with the edge of the rail-car for my grievous error, is there a person/place I can donate the box to for the WWPD4 vets item listing? Is it too late?

Edit: I should note donate it separately from ebay, as part of a package or something. I unashamedly dislike eBay.

JMHahn - Not that I know of. We made the decision to NOT try to manage in-kind donations -- just too hard and wastes shipping dollars that could go to the charity. eBay it, or sell locally and donate the cash.

Looks like the donations have started! Craig Baxter has donated $150 already!

Thanks Craig!

Has anyone else tried making a donation to WW using the page in this link and been rejected. I am UK based and it mismatches my card address with the entered.... It lets you select UK and blanks out the State, but then rejects the transaction.... Tried it several times but no banana....

Guys from Alaska have donated $350. Surely, another state (or country) can at least match that.

For those Aussies out there that want to help out wounded diggers you can donate to "Soldier On" at http://soldieron.org.au/

I've donated $100, chip in and help out those diggers who have put themselves on the front line and now need our support

That's very generous and a good thought. +1 for you initiative.

I was a bit surprised there were no WWPD4Vets events set up in Australia. There seems to be a reasonable number of Wargamers/Flames players in Aus...

All-

Thanks for participating in this great event! We were able to meet all of our goals in assisting the Wounded Warrior Project (US), Help for Heroes (UK) and the RSA (NZ)! Again, it is all because of YOU, our great WWPD community. I had the pleasure to speak with several veterans and their families through this event - the help is greatly appreciated for their wounded brothers and sisters.
