Thank you Jon for wrangling it all together!

Got some ideas on how we can improve our event next year if you give the green light!

Well after falling asleep for a bit between 4am and 5am and then a four hour nap this afternoon before dinner I'm wiped out.

One thing I would suggest for the future would be to avoid scheduling this on Easter weekend. Doesn't really affect me, but it might boost attendance a bit.

I think that got us a bit too.

Yeah, we had no shows this weekend for Flames as it was Easter. Some people just decide to do family stuff :)
The Malifaux TO decided to quit and not bother telling the venue, leaving them short one event. Not nice. Still we saw some FoW, a little Hordes/warmachine, 40k and even a dreadball game was going.

Yeah, I didnt realize it was Easter until Lukee pointed it out - I was also scheduling around some other events. Next time, we'll get'r scheduled on a non-Holiday. :D

Or hit it up on a relevant holiday, like Veterans Day or Memorial Day. :)

Problem with Memorial Day is that a lot of conventions are already held that weekend anyways. But who knows, 24 hours at a con could get entertaining. :P

Cheers to Dirty Jon Cylon for demonstrating the leadership to set this thing up. Game Vault was a madhouse yesterday and it was great to be playing for a cause (also helped with getting the green light to spend the weekend day away from the family :D).

It might be cool to build a standing partnership or something where donations are collected at all WWPD-attended tournaments.

Thanks Jon for organizing this. I really liked the video feeds. I've never seen that before and spent some time watching them. I would have drove up to Rhia's from So Cal if he would have me if it wasn't Easter weekend. Easter is one of those you have to figure out when it is holidays because the day seems to be random; And it comes around so fast. I'll seriously consider doing something at my house next year if we do it again. A very worthy cause!

Looks like you had a good time.

Makes me wonder why more 1000 points FoW games aren't played more - it forces you think very hard and keeps game down to sub 2 hours.

I would love to do a 4 x 1.5 hour 100o points Tournament in a day. Wonder if Hammy is reading this...?

I really love the 1200ish point range for FoW- especially when restricted to 2 infantry forces. Makes for some great games on a normal sized board!

Maybe we could do a "poll" on what peoples favourite Tournament format is/would be: (as a seperate post of course).

4 x 1000, 3 x 1200, 3 x 500 etc.
I can't do more than one day at a time (life would not be woth living) so 4 shorter games would give a good showing.

For us we've really been mixing up points and format for our tournament circuit the last couple years. Escalation and low point games sometimes allow us to schedule four rounds instead of three.
