Speculation on Stripes changing the Meta anyone?

M1IP has added armor. Assuming FA 19, the BMP2 may lose its appeal.

At the same time, new US infantry will likely stand up to the blob more effectively. Also, if the Sheridan has beehive the blob might be cowed.

Looks to me like more T64s and less infantry will be the new black in the red army. :)

Why would the BMP2 lose appeal?

Was there that many US M1 running around to begin with? The BMP2 has AT21. Previously the M1 had a 50/50 chance of saving. Now it drops to 33%. But your Chieftains & Leopard 2 still have to worry. Your M60s & Leopard 1s will still have a 0%.

It makes no sense for BMP2 to be dropped. Now BMP1s might be completely dropped to either have that BTR60 to shoot/suppress infantry or be upgraded to the BMP2.

I always liked the BMP-2 better anyway. I did not even build my BMP-1 upper hulls until I started toying with East German Lists.

The M1IP only had added armor on the left turret glasis in front of the loader. I'm not sure if that would justify an overall increase in frontal armor value for BF. Then again, you can never tell with BF's numbers.

Being the only change to the tank is more armor, they must be upping the armor or it will be the most ridiculed introduction ever.

Good! That means it costs more. As a tankless BTR/BMP-1 Sov player, I very much appreciate this change !
Quanity has a Quality All of its Own :-)

And in some cases an auxiliary power unit hanging off the back deck!
