Very happy they only get a single-color paint job.

That is an imposing picture.

Obviously a horde, but it seems to fall into a glass cannon category as well. A few well placed shots on the 9xSpandrels will eliminate threats to MBTs. Typical NATO AA should disperse the hinds pretty handily.

I expect either a quick loss or a long time multi turn grind out win.

Well, you could get ambitious and do the 3-tone version... ;)

Good one. :) After assembling 40 of them, I don't want to look at (much less paint) another BTR for a couple weeks!

We'll see how they'll do. Hopefully decently, at least, as they were a fair bit of coin.

How are the BTRs going together for you? I'm getting a little gap at the top of the rear plate...

Mine have the gap at the back also. Doesn't bother me too much as there is a little lip overhang from the top of the hull to hide it a bit. Am finding a more problematic slight gap at the bottom front of the upper/lower hull --the "V" just in front of the front wheel. Very small gap and could be filled when painted, but maybe not. Should go back and fill first, but then 80 gaps (two per) saps my desire for perfection.

I went with Red Thunder

3 formations give 3 large inf formations attacking, each led with 2+ morale Bat cmd.
And of course there are a "few" other supporting elements. :-)

The inf is the killer in these lists. The large number of BTR's are just fluff used to supress fire.

Assembly is one of the main reasons I went for Old Glory models. No assembly....cast in one piece other than the turret

Take them out of the box, spray Rustolum camo paint, black wheels, dab of sillver to highlight bits, black wash.....done.

I "assembled" 45 and painted them in about 4 hrs. Total time was longer as I had to wait for paint to dry between coats.

I've been putting the top and bottom together first and that gets rid of all gaps but the little one at the back, which should be a quick styrene fill.

Old Glory makes some good stuff, but cleaning up the metal mold lines is a pain and often hard to do right if there is mold slippage. I haven't picked up one of their BTRs at this point, but their PRP-3 has some mold lines in fairly annoying places...

I don't know what would be more intimidating. Having to play against that or having to paint it.

Groovy conversions, BTW!
