Missions - Turn 3 - Australian Night Attacks (B2 & B3)

The initiative shits to the British in Turn Three and they unleash the Australians in a double envelopment attempt to cut off German force near Villers-Bretonneux. In order to maximize surprise, the Australians launch their attacks under the cover of darkness.

Battle: B2 - Villers-Bretonneux
Mission: Green Fields Beyond w/ Night Attack (British Attacking)
German Forces:
Base Force: 1250pts (May not include tanks)
Firestorm Troops:
93rd RIR (Reinforce your company w/ Infantry Platoon Command Pistol team, five Rifle teams, one Rifle Grenade team and two MG rated as Confident Veteran)
MG Abt 4G (Reinforce your company with an Infanterie Machine-Gun platoon w/ Command Pistol team and two Maxim HMG teams rated as Confident Veteran)
British Forces:
Base Force: 1250pts (May not include tanks)
Firestorm Troops:
15th BDE (Reinforce your company with a Rifle Platoon with a Command Pistol
team, four Rifle teams, two Rifle Grenade teams and two MG teams rated as Confident Veteran.)

Terrain: Much of the German deployment zone would be the rubbled outskirts of Villers-Bretonneux. The rest of the area would be heavily cratered/damaged but not quite enough to evoke the “Cratered Ground” rule.
Special Rules:
Night Fighting (pg 272)/Dawn (pg 273)
All German units start the game pinned down.
No tanks are allowed as tanks do not operate at night in WW1.

None

If the British win at B2, they will have a +1 to the initiative roll for the third attack in Turn Three.

We will play both these battles this week/weekend and the determine the rest of the battles for next week/weekend.
