Hi Guys,

We just got this subsection created for us. This post is just to make sure everyone gets signed up and identified on the forums here.

Steve and I will work out the admin/mod stuff as we go - for now, just go ahead and reply to this post with your name so we know who you are :)

We can create new posts in this sub-forum specifically for our local game nights, event ideas, tournaments, etc.

Great job Eric and thank you.
I am looking forward to this: a great way to stay in touch, share events or even to know who is going to GA next Monday.
...and please remember to bring the Panzerfaust (an internal joke between Eric and me, so never mind!).

Al & Jacob

The name makes me wonder if I even want to hear the etymology behind it. :D

Keith Miles, present and accounted for! Thanks for putting this together, Eric. I did check with Scott and he said that using the store website forum wasn't possible, so this is a great alternative. I will push with the other guys to get them all on here as I talk with them individually, and I encourage everyone to do the same!

'Liquid Chickens', just wondering if it has something to do with the poultry industry.

Bruce came up with the name so he can tell the story behind it.

BTW: I am bringing my 1550 EW list to play today if anyone is interested.

Hi all, I was a newcomer to the FoW meetup last night at Gamer's Armory, and enjoyed it quite a bit! I'm new to the game as well, but I'm thinking that it is something I want to pursue. Keith suggested I get an account here at WWPD and just check in with you all.

I'm trying to figure out what is the best fit for me to play as, so I can start gathering what I need to play. I've been checking out Easyarmy, created an account there any everything, but I can't seem to figure out how to access the 'locked' lists. I want to check out the Market Garden and Cassino/Road to Rome/whatever lists, because I'm thinking for my first foray I want to do a mid/late war British. Something about the men of Empire coming together to fight just seems awesome to me! =)

So yea, I'm a total newbie. Any online stuff you think I should read, could you please post links here? I'm hoping to buy something before Friday so I can spend my day off Friday figuring out how to paint.

All the best,

Henry

I only just recently discovered there was a fairly active FoW community in the area. Hadnt checked the other hobby shops around. I'll have to start swinging by GA when I have monday nights free.
