Since my gaming Group meets every 4-weeks, we couldn´t deliver more reports for Operation Overlord but decided to end our Normandy themed games over the last months with a Total War game.

So on 24. August we played a 6000 Points per side total war game with three players each side. We themed our game for Falaise Pocket. The Germans made a counterattack with a lot of tanks vs british lines.

Geramans had:

503. Schwere Panzerkompanie
2. SS Panzerkompanie
Panzer Lehr Panzergrenadierkompanie

British had:

Desert Rats Armoured Squadron
50th TT Rifel Coy
Infantry Field Battery Support Company (taken from 50th TT)

Was great game with a lot of fun on a good looking table. The germans were a little bite too overcautious and strugled to capture the central objectives and pushing their heavy tanks Forward wihil a some Recce Stuarts form the Rats nearly always contested the objective, while on the other hand, the Rifle coy made good efforts capturing their central objective and fending off the Panzergrenadierkompanie with a lot og artillery Support.

We useed the old Stratagems from Bagration. Monty for the Brits, wich represented the importance of the central objectives very good and Rommel on the german side.

At the end the Brits won 21:11 keeping the pocket closed.

You can find a lot of picturs here.
