As of 5am EST this morning D-Day is over and the larger campaign begins! Airlanding and beach landings are finished and the allies have established a foot hold strong enough, to begin brining supply's ashore to support the fight to secure the larger ports and the remaining objectives.

D-Day is over but Operation Overlord has only just begun! All shore side points left to be captured should be secured via road and land. Please no more Airborne or Beach assault submissions, there has been plenty of time to participate in the landings if you did not meet the deadline I am sorry but there is nothing we can do about it the scores have been locked in.

Noticed a weird website bug, if your not logged in for some reason Omaha is shown as in German control.

Good catch! That is a bug, and my fault :) Will be fixed next update.

We've kept the formula secret because it's fairly simple and inevitably someone would work it out. And then strategy would stop being "Let's hold them at the beach!" and more "3 more victory points to turn it to "mostly allied"!

I will say this much: there have been 151 battle reports so far. That is more than half of what we had for all of Sea Lion!

The most battled zone was Carentan with a whopping 39 battles!
Beach popularity in order:

Sword- 10
Gold- 12
Utah- 16
Juno- 20
Omaha- 25

It's been awesome so far!

Is there any issue with submitting a batrep that has already been played? I don't mind that the points don't count for invasion week. I would just hate for them to not count at all!

No problem, went to show the updated map on my phone to my opponent and noticed it otherwise I'd never have seen it.

Do you have stats of what countries the reports have been coming in from? Just curious.

We can get to it, but we don't track it atomically. When it's all over, we'll do some analytics. We track where people are from when they sign up, but that is not a required field for submitting a batrep. The two can be tied together on usernames with some degree of accuracy (pending some obvious data quality issues). It'll give us a good idea!

Signups have been from all over!
