Hilarious! Just goes to show that good players can overcome the limitations of supposedly weak forces.

Yep. Great read. Dennis' miniatures are always joy to behold.

Thanks guys, what's funny is that James Best bought my Bishops and Deacons* when the tournament ended!! "good players" hmmmm.. here I was only being Carried by Tom's insane good luck, plus good match-ups with regards to the mission. The game vs the Panthers.. they had to come to us, and we were dug in in buildings. Vs the 4-Tiger army, we simply Broke one of the two formations after getting lucky with their Inf not digging in. More luck than skill perhaps :)

* He wanted my Artillery Staff Team transport Dorchester, but I told him 'Monty's Bang-Bus' was NOT for sale! (1st picture, behind the Bishops) ;)

I really like the limbers towed behind the Bishops and might do that with mine when I ever get around to working on them!

The limbers are 'loose' so I can put them on the back of the useless Quad tractors I have or next to my gun bases :)

I thought they were cool. I actually did not know Bishops used them but it totally makes sense.

I base my tanks on magnetic bases, so I expect I'll be making mine permanent. I did not mount my limbers on my gun bases so I have plenty of extras.

This was a fun day. I spent most of it drinking beer and whiskey until someone decided they were going to pull their opponent's bogged tank out of the woods with their recovery vehicle.

Yeah I was lucky as hell. I couldn't stop rolling 5s and 6s. dug out multiple teams with MGs. And we also pulled missions and opponents who were at a disadvantage against us in many respects. I also got Dennis parked under planes on multiple occasions. The whole time was a blast, even when tanks were rolling over armored car corpses.

I think my favorite models were the Deacons, with their side armor of 2 and their front of 1. since they are supposed to be like battleships.
