V4 Unit Card Templates

A lot of my excitement for V4 was due to the convenience of unit cards. Looks like we pretty much got the opposite instead: old army books, conversion tables, new army book. Yikes.

So I'm making my own unit cards. I'm starting with the Open Fire set, since that will probably still be a good way to get into V4. First one is attached. I am trying to keep these fairly printer friendly right now: no flags or big texture backgrounds. Sized for A5, with a 15-20mm margin for ease of handling.

The PDFs include the units in the Open Fire box, as well as a few others.

The SVG files can be edited in Inkscape, a free vector graphics program, to make your own cards. Use the Rectangle tool (F4) to resize rectangles without warping their rounded corners, etc.

I am new to flames of war and was working on templates as well. I really like yours but I was looking at them notice something I had a question about the unit conversion. On the Stug G platoon you have the to Hit as "Cautious 4+" and on the Armored Squadron HQ at "Aggressive 3+". Where did the Cautious & Aggressive come from? I get the 4+ on the Stugs they are Veterans and the Sherman are trained on the 3+. You get these from P11 of the EW/LW book but I can not find anything on Cautious & Aggressive. I searched for the word Cautious only on that page and aggressive as well (and one other page but it was in a description). I assumed they where only MW stuff for those rules. Great job by the way. It is making rethink the direction I took mine. Thanks for any help you could offer on the Aggressive and Cautious.

thanks

I borrowed those descriptive words from the MW unit cards. I kind of like it: I can see how going forward they are probably going to make lots of Confident Trained armies still be Cautious. But for now, in EW/LW, veteran => "cautious", trained => "aggressive"
