Just posted some pictures of the nucleus for my British Infantry Platoon. There are Officers, NCO, Radio, Bren teams, Piat Teams and Vickers. Minis are by Victory Force, Bolt Action, Warlord and Artizan:

http://dhcwargamesblog.wordpress.com/2014/01/25/ruperts-on-the-way-to-the-rhine-and-other-wwii-british-analogue-hobbies-painting-challenge-entry-5-1/

All men are from the 1st South Lancashires.

Enjoy,

Burkhard
And the usual preview (as always far more clickeable pictures on the blog itself):

So here are some shots of my latest efforts, the 95th Regiment of Foot (Rifles) painted for the 100 days campaign:

Before anyone asks... all the backpack numbers are freehand!

Enjoy,

Burkhard

Finished a unit of 4 Universal Carriers and one Wasp carrier recently. All the models are Tamiya (1:48th scale) with Victory Force crews:

Here are the usual pre-view pictures (as usual more clickable pictures on the blog):

Enjoy,

Burkhard

P.S.:

There were also some other recent posts, that I did not feel were big enough to warrant complete updates.

There were Napoleonic casualties:

http://dhcwargamesblog.wordpress.com/2014/02/24/napoleonic-casualties-analogue-hobbies-painting-challenge-entry-8/

and a MG42 team:

http://dhcwargamesblog.wordpress.com/2014/03/14/wwii-british-mortars-and-guns-analogue-hobbies-painting-challenge-entry-11/

All are 28mm and either vintage Bolt Action, Warlord Games or Artizan Miniatures.

Enjoy,

Burkhard

Excellent work.

Not to get too off topic but I really like the look of that tree in the background. Who makes it?

Thanks!

Not really OT. The tree is from the now OOP Snapdragon range. They were actually sold as tree stumps, nut I drilled into the top and mounted K&M trees on them (unfortunately this cannot be seen on that photo).

Just posted pictures of my finished M5 halftracks for my WWII Brits, this time from the Guards AD:

http://dhcwargamesblog.wordpress.com/2014/03/20/wwii-british-m5-half-tracks-analogue-hobbies-painting-challenge-entry-13/

Vehicles are by Warlord Games, passengers (only for one halftrack so far) by Victory Force Miniatures.

Thanks a lot!

Well the info regarding the netting is actually in the blog post, but since you are not the first to ask ;-)...:

Basically it is gauze dyed green. Then I took rectangular punches from my spiral binding machine, cut them in half (lengthwise), soaked them in diluted white glue. While still wet I placed them on the gauze and once dry gave them another coat of diluted white glue. Once dry I painted and highlighted them. That is it! :ugeek:

So before I go into my painting hiatus for most of May, here are my Vorreiter for Warzone Resurrection:

http://dhcwargamesblog.wordpress.com/2014/04/27/bauhaus-vorreiter/

I used them as a testbed for the hairspray technique, so I do not have to try it out on some WWII models for real.

Enjoy,

Burkhard

And as always... a pre-view (more clickable pictures on the blog itself):
