Want to win some prizes (courtesy of Warlord Games and Osprey Publishing) for the models that you're already painting? Enter your projects here!

We're holding a contest - judged by WWPD staff - in three categories. First, is best vehicle. Second, best squad. Third, best team. All entries must be Warlord Games Bolt Action models, since they're providing the prizes. The first two categories are pretty obvious - enter a WG vehicle or infantry squad. Simple. The third's sort of the catch-all for the rest. Gun teams, bazookas, snipers - that sort of thing.

And hey, you're all painting stuff for Bolt Action anyways. You might as well enter them for a chance to win. Who knows what could happen with the WWPD crew judging?

Now, post your entries here! Good luck!

Do I need to take a pic of the unpainted miniatures first? I have the day off work so I will crack on with it.

Here's the short of it (but not much shorter than the article) ...

Painting contest. Bolt Action products as prize support, generously sponsored by Warlord Games. Three categories: vehicle, team, squad - and a maximum of one entry per category. No, there is no unpainted requirement, but we have some pretty good resources out there to know what's original and what's a ripoff. Besides, the risk of lifelong derision and ridicule from fellow gamers catching you cheat ... totally not worth it. Cheating's for real life. Keep it away from my table (and painting contest.)

Ready? Go!

One last question. Since Warlord are the sponsers do they need to be Warlord models?

Warlord prizes should mean Warlord models.

They are showing us a kindness, lets reciprocate it.

A squad will be your core infantry section. A team will be Anit-tank, mortar, MMG, flamerthrower, sniper, etc, etc.

BoltActionDotNet will never tell people what models they must play with, talk about, etc; but for this contest I want to restrict entries to their model line.

Thank you for bringing it up.

I assume we're not restricted to placing all of our entries at once? IE I've already got a squad done, and if I get a tank before Christmas and get it done I can enter that too, or do I need to wait and enter them all at once?

I don't think it is fair that people who have their models in the WG books can enter. :)

I mean come on, you guys are professionals!

Well I think they can enter, but they have to paint the models blindfolded. And we'll know if you cheat ;)

Please hold your applause 'til the end of the contest, everyone, so the submissions are easily viewable. In case anyone was wondering, WWPD staffers that enter are obviously excluded from the judging pool.

Only post painting submissions in this thread from now until 12/25/12. Thanks.

EDITOR'S NOTE: If you'd like feedback on your submissions, feel free to also post them in a new thread, but ONLY submissions in THIS THREAD will be considered for the contest. As Judson said, no more commenting here please! -Steven
