Happy to talk painting if you have questions.

Thanks Lou,

I am going to look into this campaign in Corsica, it sounds very much like a good raid for Bolt Action forces.

it's an interesting campaign ...

french army movie campaign in corsica september - october 1943
it give an great idea of the look of the french army ... tirailleurs and goumiers ...
and that the 4th Moroccan spahi regiment has 2 squadrons, one with M3 Stuart, the other recce with M3 halftracks and M3 scout cars ...

BTW the jolly roger seen in the first minute of the movie is the flag of the french submarine casabianca, who escaped from Toulon , and was used as a transport to provide the corsican resistance with weapons ( up to 17 tons of weapons and ammunitions in a single mission , providing the corsican resistance with 5 tons of AT weapons and their ammunitions in september 1943) and carry agents , and on the way back to algeria sunk a lot of axis boats . The Jolly Roger was a gift of the British 8th submarine flotilla to the crew of the Casabianca .

Hey, was using this to paint my goumier. Since the guide has vanished with the remade website, was wondering if you still had is written up somewhere or could tell me the colors. I would really appreciate it.

Hey mate! Sorry about the confusion. The article is still around:

If you want more French articles go to the Bolt Action section under 'games' and in the French section will be all the old articles.

Cool to know you are using the guide to paint your Goumiers :)

Would be great to see pics once you are done. Happy to help if you have any questions also.

Bryan
