A few pics from my new EW project - Polish 10th Cav. Figures are True North. Still not sure what I want to do with the basing.

Good job. Very striking contrasts. The camo on the guns looks really interesting too.

I kind of like the current basing. Makes me think of some muddy, dirty trench fighting. You could add some barbed wire and other details to add to this theme. Not sure how this fits with the history of the unit though...

Wow, I'd be tearing my hair out.

Also, are those 10th Cav 28mms for BA I spy?

How hard were those fiddly 37mm ATGs to put together? I promised an older friend I'd assemble them for him, but they look rather daunting.

Good eye. Yes, they are =)

They're actually the Battlefront 37s - and not bad at all. Consequently, if anyone needs 9 guns worth of Battlefront EW Polish ATG crew, let me know =)

Are the 28s from that new company that does them and the Gebrisjagers?

They are from these guys. Those the ones your thinking of? Do you know of another?

They're OK. Not Warlord quality, but they're not bad either. Mostly limited by only a few sculpts. Depending on how much time PoE/Eve/SC2/the 15mm poles suck away from me this week, I might get a few test models of the 28s done.

Great stuff, the 10th motorized cavalry brigade is easily the coolest force one can field during Early War playing the Poles. Now if only there were decent Polish Vickers E tanks out there...

Ain't that the truth. These True North ones are AWFUL. It'll be interesting to see how not-shitty I can make them.

Good luck. I found them to lack detail and be too expensive for what you get. They also lack those huge air vents that the Poles installed on their Vickers tanks to prevent the engine from overheating (adding to that special and unique look). :(

I've been trying to talk Forged in Battle into making some Vickers tanks but they seem to be set on making some 7TP's first.

Wow, now I can really see how frustrating that could be. Insane that a little truck has so many parts.

The models are very striking compared to the usual Polish units. Great job so far.

Looks like you airbrushed the camo on the guns. I did the same thing. The light sand color always made me feel I was painting them wrong as it doesn't contrast well in my eyes. Wonder what made them use that scheme.

Updates: Decided I better kick this in to high gear since the tournament is...um...in 5 days.

This is where I left my staff cars. No bumpers or gear shifts, but I doubt anyone will notice.

Plowed through all the boosts last night.

Tonight hope to finish off all the staff cars and Vickers tanks. Ran into a supply issue on the trucks - all the local shops are sold out of the Zvezda Soviet trucks, so I'm going to have to substitute in some Battlefront models and/or Zvezda German trucks. Oh well, a truck is a truck.

Ok, so Anatoli might yell at me cause the unit didn't actually have these 7TPs, but I felt like I needed more (read "better") armored support for the tournament, so I (reluctantly) dropped the 75s for a platoon of 5 of them. This means I am now smoke-less, but I think the extra mobility will help.

These True North Vickers tanks...umm....sucked. So I tried to cover up the blemishes with mud where I could. Had I had a bit more time, I would've tried to find some stowage for them, but alas.

I won't yell, too happy about anyone else playing the Poles and especially since you are well aware of the liberties taken in that army lists ;-)

Yeah... the True North Vickers tanks, what can I say.... they are just so squashed. Looking at pictures of the real tanks you see that they are as tall as the 7TP tanks and bulky as the 7TP. Really sad about those models sucking so much as the Vickers is one of those "ugly/pretty" tanks that along with its weird looks and the half crappy stats really is a part of the fun playing Early War lists.
